SES and Mathematics
Research has shown that children from homes with higher incomes and parental education perform better on mathematics in school. However, children from all backgrounds bring strengths to the classroom. Ongoing research in our lab focuses on understanding how children from diverse backgrounds approach learning, and what unique strengths can be leveraged by teachers.
